Presentation Guidelines

Guidance for presenters at the PACIS 2013 oral presentation and poster sessions.

All papers, including teaching cases, research in progress papers and completed research papers, were allocated a presentation slot of approximately 30 minutes.

Oral presentation sessions

  • Arrive at the meeting room of your presentation session 10 minutes before the start of the session.
  • Upload your presentation file onto the computer and make sure it runs correctly.
  • Introduce yourself to your session chair so that the chair knows who is presenting the paper.
  • Each session was allocated one hour and 30 minutes for three or four paper presentations. Present in 20 minutes and leave 5 to 7 minutes for questions. Time management is critical because participants may move between sessions.

Poster sessions

  • Each poster presentation was allocated a poster board, with 110 cm wide by 140 cm high, on an actual board of 120 cm by 180 cm. This size could accommodate at least 15 A4 or letter sized pages.
  • Arrive at the meeting room of your poster session 20 minutes before the start of the session.
  • Post your poster on the board designated to you.
  • During your poster session, remain near your poster board to interact with interested participants.
  • After your session, remove your poster so that the next presenter can use the board.
